Sort by Date Shortcut Keys Don't Work

The shortcut keys Ctrl+Alt+D don't work for me to sort by date. The other shortcut keys work (by name, size and type). But when I press Ctrl+Alt+D nothing happens. Is this a bug?

you must have this assigned to something else, e.g. a global shortcut accelerator

C+A+D works for me

If something else has that keystroke combination, I can't figure out what it could be. I tried shutting down all apps including system tray applets and it still didn't work. AFAIK, the only remaining thing that could be capturing that keystroke combination is Windows desktop or QuickLaunch shortcuts. But this is a brand-new PC (1 week old) and I haven't assigned that keystroke to anything. And, of course, nothing happens when I press it either in x2 or not.

I'm stumped.

In Details view, does clicking on the date Modified column heading result in correctly sorting by date?
& toggling to opposite order with another click?
How about via menu: View | Arrange by | Date ?

Yes, sorting by using the arrange menu item works and clicking on the header works. It's only the shortcut key that doesn't work. I can work around the problem using these methods. I've even gone through all my desktop and quick launch shortcuts manually to check for shortcut keys. I just can't figure out what else could be using the Ctrl+Alt+D key combo.
