Telling the tree pane to ignore a drive?

Post by J44xm »

I have an encrypted drive that has over 200 subdirectories, some of these holding hundreds or even thousands of small files. I've found that on my computer, the tree pane is relatively slow in loading folders for this drive. Is it possible to tell X²L not to display the folders for this drive? Or even to ignore the drive in the tree altogether? Thanks.

After I searched the forum for a solution to this, I discovered a registry trick to hide drives that works universally in Windows: http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/148/

It can also be done with TweakUI, either 1.33 or 2.10. It needs a restart to take effect.

Hidden drives do not appear in the tree or the panes either, but are still accessible in x² through the address bar, the toolbar, Alt+F1, or Ctrl+Shift+X.
