Here's a small thing from a guy who isn't as averse to using the mouse as some folks here:
1. If you click on an inactive tab in the inactive pane, the focus changes as you would expect--the inactive pane becomes active and the tab you clicked on comes to the front.
2. But if you click on the active (front) tab in the inactive pane nothing happens--focus does not shift to that pane. Seems to like it should.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I'm using 1.0.0.95 [Unicode].

yes, Brig, I had noticed it too, & pointed it out a couple of weeks ago.
... & I think it was more of an omission (vs. sort of by design) to not activate the top tab in the inactive pane, myself.
[I'm guessing that the 'by design' part was writing explicit code to not re-activate the top tab; & the 'sort of' part was to not differentiate between panes for the two top tabs.
