Two questions: icons and exporting settings

Post by jpcoetzee »

Is it possible to change the icon for User Commands? I don't want every command to have the default "hammer icon".

Is it possible to export xplorer² settings? I would like to copy the settings I use at work to a home installation. The configuration data appears to be stored in the registry.

re: the hammer icon - I doubt there's any choice at this time; but nikos might have a way if you are familiar with some lowlevel 3rd party tool.

re: saving configuration to use at home - just export the zabarakatramenia plc HKCU registry key to a text.reg file & take it to the other computer & 'run' it there. You might want to export the .global subkey and any particular .customized_layout subkeys separately so you don't overide custom preferences at the destination which you want to keep.

1. no you can't change icons; but you can tell them apart if you have toolbar text labels

2. if you export the main registry key (see registry.txt), you can transfer it to any other computer and have your settings cloned
