I wasn't able to find a thread on this topic, but I appologize if there is one and I missed it.
xplorer2 give you two folder panes. This is why most of use use xplorer2 as opposed to many of the other file management utilities out there. But why only 2 panes? I'm sure somebody has suggested this at least once, but having any number of panes would be ideal, but specifically I would like to have 4 panes (a square grid). I would think having n-Panes would be hard to impliment, but having 1, 2, or 4 panes wouldn't be that difficult as it can be thought of as having one 2-horizontal panes, with each of those panes being one 2-vertical pane (resulting in 4 panes).
Just a thought, as it's slightly annoying having to manage two xplorer2 instances at once, as opposed to simply maximizing one instance and leaving it be. Thanks!

Very true, which is why 2-panes is enough and will probably be enough for a while. I would still prefer 4 since then, when xplorer2 was maximized, the panes wouldn't be 'unnecissarily huge'. Just a preference of mine, so stick it at the very bottom of the feature request list. *smile*fgagnon wrote:Tabs is the (perhaps compromise) answer to more panes.
It permits seeing more in the panes for high-count file management.
And each tab is a valid drop target for file copy/move operations.
