Feature Request - Copy file(s) to Opposite Pane, All Tabs

So if you use F5 for robust copy, hopefully you'd have an option to copy the file(s) to ALL of the tabs in the opposite pane.

Dunno if that would be helpful for many other users, but it sure would for me. If it's too low priority, sue me :P

I tend to need to sync multiple thumbdrives, and multiple network folders.

And of course, same request for "Move file(s) to Opposite Pane, All Tabs"

To add acid to the bath, how about:

Copy file(s) to All Tabs, THIS PANE
Move file(s) to All Tabs, THIS PANE

And there was much rejoicing.

i have to admit that this ain't a bad idea
why didn't you come up with it 1 week earlier? :)

of course, moveto isn't possible since once the first file is moved there's nothing left to move anymore

but this multi-copy is good for a future version

Moveto multiple tabs is possible, just likely difficult to implement.

Let's say you wanted to move a file to a certain number of tabs -- say 3 for example (although it could be any number of tabs).

This would require new program logic, but it's doable. When the "MOVETO" command is given, you'd just have to check on how many tabs currently exist, (3), and then copy to the first two, and then perform a move on the last tab.

I realize that Robust COPY/MOVE in its current state probably can't perform this magic (or perhaps ever), but a certain programming logic could do this with a two step procedure -- copy first to all tabs except the last one, then immediately do a final move to the last tab.

Yes, likely a can of worms that's more trouble than its worth. But within the realm of possibility!

/ducks

As you can tell, I'm not a programmer. A Monday morning coder, so to speak. Hah.

That sounds good. BTW Nikos, while you are at it, how about adding all the tabs of the opposite pane in the F5/F6 dialog? (I have not seen the 1101 yet, but 1100 shows only the tabs of the active pane.)
