Odd folder pane stretch problem

I've been away from x2 for awhile, and have just downloaded the new pro version to try. When I turn on quickviewer then try to adjust the size, I get this lovely mess:

Refreshing fixes it, but I have to do this every time I adjust the panes! This is using 1.1.0.1 in XP.

ugh! Fixable?

"feature" (special visual effect :))
it is fixable but not a high priority on my list
