Can the status bar be customized?

Post by luke »

Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to get rid of the modified date information in the status bar. I always use detail view so I don't have to see this in the status bar. It is only confusing and harder to look for the info I do need.
When I select multiple files the date/time info is even less needed, because it is info from 1 file while I selected many.

And maybe it is useful to always show the amount of discspace from all the files in a folder in the active pane. So i.e. not only "12 items" but "12 items, 124MB". When I select files I see the info, but I like to see also the total size of the files, without selecting all files first.

Thanks

Ok, thanks.

I am very happy with xplorer2, the best filemanager there is (and i've tried many).

But there are always little things that coud be better I guess.

I.e. why do I have to press 3 buttons to cycle through the tabs?
ctrl+right arrow would be easier than ctrl+alt+right arrow.
But maybe you have a reason for that which I don't know.

Bye!

ctrl+arrow is used to change the focus without affecting the selection in views like list, large icon etc

Yes, the more that can be customized, the better.
I would strip al the [(@)]#@#)]'s in the title bar too. I know it all has a function, but it looks better for me without and I don't use the information either. But maybe that's only me.

Bye

the titlebar info is useful for identifying x2 windows minimized on the taskbar -- when you have more than 1 lying around
