Bookmark a Scrap pane

Post by rentikd »

Is there any way to bookmark a scrap pane?  I have a saved scrap pane with my most used project files and directories in it, and I would like to be able to bookmark it or create a shortcut key to bring up the scrap pane without having to click on anything.

this is not possible as a bookmark but you have other options:

1. create a shortcut (e.g. on your desktop) to your saved .cida file; clicking on it will open a scrap window

2. set a bookmark on the folder that contains the cida file and associate a key with it. Then use Bookmarks | Organize to edit the bookmark, appending the name of the file after the folder (c:\path\yourfile.cida). As a result whenever you invoke this "bookmark", the desired cida file will end up hilighted; then reopening the scrap window is just a click away (or hit <enter>)

Thanks rentkid for your post which made some light bulbs go off in my head.

I have some tasks that require work on in several folder locations. I put each of those folders and files into a scrap container, saved the contents into a .cida file which I put into my shortcuts folder. Now I can quickly navigate to my folders. The more I learn about scrap containers, the more I like them. Thanks, Nikos, for coming up with this great tool!
