x2 seems to not allow deletion of "used" files or folders.
I could understand this kind of security feature for really used items, even if there seems to have no way to know what is the exact reason why deletion is blocked.
I mean, if I want to delete a folder containing files, deletion can be said as impossible, but I can't know which file or folder is the problem.
More, after I had edited a file in UltraEdit and closed the file (but not closed UE), deletion was impossible until I had closed UltraEdit.
Couldn't the deletion blocking security be a little more comprehensive ?
Thanks for your help.

By default (& good practice), you should not be able to delete items which are in use (or are "locked" by a process).
As a corollary, if you are trying to delete a folder from the tree pane, and x2 is using it in the active view, you will get an error message.
This happens commonly when folks have set the tree option to:
[x] Single click to change folder & "hands free" activation.
And it has been requested that nikos permit this special case folder deletion when it is only x2 that is "using" the folder by viewing its contents in the active pane. But, he has not implemented that feature yet.
PS: of course you will be able to delete the folder from the active pane. Just go up one level to display & select it.
PPS: If the problem is with a genuinely locked file, please use "search" in these forums, as this has been discussed extensively.
