"Jump" toolbar button?

What does the Yellow Star "Jump" button on the toolbar do?

I added it to my toolbar, and it always takes me to the Desktop.

I can't find anything about it in the User Guide.

this is the Goto | quick bookmark command
use ctrl+shift+F1 to set it on any folder
the name was trimmed to make it fit on toolbars
