Hi,
When I'm in an empty folder (i.e a folder that has no folders or files in it), and select File -> New Tab (or press Ctrl + Ins) nothing happens, and no new tab is created.
This also happens when all items (both files and folders) in a folder have been filtered out, and File -> New Tab is selected.
Is this behaviour intentional, or is it a bug?
'New Tab' bug?

I can confirm this behaviour on Pro version, too.
& further note that even though I cannot make a new tab from an empty view in a folderpane, I can if focus is on the same folder in the treepane, even if it is empty.
As I do not see it adversely affecting productivity, I would place this issue in the "nit" category, deserving cleanup after higher priority issues are resolved.

Therein lies the confusion:
"New tab" sounds like it ought to do what it says, regardless.
but "Browse active item in new tab" is useful (and logical). :)
Which brings up the obvious request [for the Pro version] to extend the behaviour to items in scrappanes, where currently:
Ctrl+Enter = Browse item in current active pane tab.
then, by extension, we should expect:
Ctrl+Insert = Browse item in new tab (in current active pane).
