Blue Screens on Incremental Searches

Using xplorer2 for the first time, frequently when using incremental searches for file names, I get blue screens with exception 00 0028:e4f88aba VxD NProtect.  I wasn't doing anything, just looking at file names.

Nprotect comes from Norton System Works 2003, Norton Protection, which, they say, puts some files in the recycle bin that Windows doesn't.

I could see some interaction with nprotect on file management, but just scrolling the lists?

I didn't find any postings anywhere with similar problems, just one with McAfee safe and sound.

i haven't got a clue but my gut feeling is that you have the quickviewer on so when you search like that you force disk access for the names you find. Somewhere somehow there's a crash (it isn't within x2's code space)
