Registry parameters resetting on reload

Hello

I'm trying to change the display of date/time.
I've changed the two following registry keys...

szCustomTimeFormat
szCustomDateFormat

In the following hive:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\xplorer2_UC

...according to "fgagnon" :

But it doesn't work.
Each time Xplorer is loaded, these two keys are resetted (to
their default value, ie nothing).

Any suggestion ?

did you make sure you quit x2 before changing the registry?
also, you don't have to change these keys, you can change your date format settings from your control panel

Make sure you do not have x2 open when you're editing the registry. Make sure by pressing CTRL+Alt+Del (Win2k and XP) and select "Taskmanger". Look for any instances of x2 in the "Applications" or "Processes" tabs.

x2 will ignore any changes you have made in the registry, whilst it is open.

Thanks for exposing the fact that I had forgotten to mention the standard caveat that all x2 registry tweaks must be done with x2 closed (no running instances).
I have since added that reminder to that posting. ;)
