Hi,
I often use filters in the adressbar to filter out things in long file list.
I type in something like *bach* in the adress bar and press enter.
When I open a find window it isn't needed to put the * char. before and at the end, which works faster.
Is it possible to make the adressbar working the same way, so you can type in BACH and press enter. It would work a lot faster.
Bye, Luke

Yes, but then it takes even more keystrokes.
A better option would be as someone else suggested before me.
Put another bar next to the adress bar where you can fill in filter words
If something is filled in, those files are shown.
And you also have a permanent look at -if and -what what you are filtering.
Give it a thought.

With fingers usually on the keyboard -- & necessarily so to enter the search string, after getting to entrybox -- why move hand all the way over to the dirty rodent & back?
{I didn't consider mousing to be an 'efficient' method. Maybe 'habitual' for some; but not efficient motion-wise.
}
@ did I overlook it? -- see Toolbar customization in the Quickstart guide ( Help | Quick start ) and also Customizing toolbars in chapter 7 of the User Manual.
Hint: Customize | Toolbars | n Toolbar & pick from list.

Well I may be blind but I don't see a button which toggles the visual filter on/off.
Oddly enough I do see donate and register buttons. (oddly because I am a registerd user so these buttons doesn't have to be in the registered version (Yes I know it is also a trial version)).
But I really don't see the mentioned button. Or do I have to create a filter which shows all files? That isn't handy because I never now if something is hidden because I see the filter icon in the statusbar all the time.
In the meantime I have to learn to use the keyboard more I guess :D

I can see again!
Ok it is not there. But what is the purpose to put a register button on any toolbar in the pro version? In the trial or lite version the register button should be hard coded because nobody will put that button on al toolbar I think. And it will the lite users probably move to the pro version because the annoyance of such a useless button.
And after that a ctrl-j button could take the place of the register button :) so it makes a good pair with the alt-h button. and the donation button could be changed in ctrl-h button!
Or are there any users who prefer the register and donation buttons?

Instead of making different tools (address bar, filter info, command line) maybe it's better to (try to) improve current "universal" address bar?
Editing: Ctrl+left/right arrows to jump around words. Don't delete command until it executed or deleted (option to store for each pane).
Navigation: Shift+Tab as the only way to switch to it (single tab to jump "back"). (Ctrl+Tab for "kin-switching" between x2 and scrap windows would be very welcome)
Intelligence: do we really need $ and > to run a command? Can't it just try to 1) run file 2) run command 3) chech if folder exist 4) make filter if *? symbols are present.
History: history of commands and filters only, don't need paths (of right panel) here. Alt+F2 has it for each pane.
PS Info about applied filters could be displayed in "new and upcoming" status bar (customizible, separate for each pane), hopefuly :)
