i tend to use xplorer2 in single pane mode, with loads of folder tabs giving me views of key folder structures on my disks.
one thing that would really streamline my use of xplorer2 would be the preservation of the tree structure that is shown when a particular folder tab is selected.
so, by way of a simple example: i expand my c: drive in the tree and then click on the root to show all its folders in a folder tab (that's view 1). i then collapse c: and expand d: in the tree, create a new folder tab and then click on the root of d: in the tree to show all its folders in the new folder tab (that's view 2). now, when i select folder tab 1, i'd like the tree structure as it was was (c: expanded, d: collapsed).
if this is possible, i apologise, but i haven't found how to do it yet. if it's not - could it be incorporated in the future please ?
thanks !
suggestion: preserve tree structure

this is easy to do if there's a separate tree for each view, but in x2 there's a different design
personally, i think that the tree in windows file management is kind of useless, especially when the branches/leaves get too many, so it's always off
from time to time i have a few ideas like filtering, or scrap-type trees where you hand-pick the folders that show (while maintaining the hierarchical view), but nothing has really made it to the  stage!
so anybody with ideas how to make the tree more useful and manageable please come forward!
