I want ZIP files to be opened with WinRAR, which is installed and associated with them on my system.
I have run "regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll", and it seemed to work... for a while. The ZIP files icon was changed from a "ZIP-folder" icon to an "unknown file-type" icon. When launching a ZIP file, it asked me how to open it, and I chose WinRAR, and set it to remember this setting. This changed the ZIP files icon to WinRAR's.
Now this is the situation. When I double-click a ZIP file, or select it with the mouse and press Enter, it is opened as a ZIP folder like before. However, if I right-click and select "Open" (which is the default action), it is processed with WinRAR.
I have x2 installed as the default directory handler (Registry hack).
Help?
Can't get rid of ZIP folders!
