Disappearing tabs

Post by 9nine9 »

The other day I was using the program and I had 3 tabs showing in the left pane. I don't know what I was doing when this happened but all of a sudden the tabs disappeared in that pane.  I don't know how to reproduce this and it never happened before and it hasn't happened since.

Any ideas?

If you unintentially hit Alt+W, A that would have done it.

I don't think I did that, but who knows.

Another thing I noticed when this happened was that at the far left end of the little Tab 'window' there was what looked like a small separator bar that I thought might be dragable.  I figured maybe the tabs had scooted off to the left for some reason. But the little bar wasn't dragable. I closed the program and re-opened it but the tabs were still not there.

Another thing I noticed was that the X button that closes tabs was still there. So I used it to close all my invisible 'tabs' and started over.

ctrl + F4 did it.
It was the first thing I experienced with the tabs. I read the forum where Nikos advised a guy to use ctrl+F3 (editor²) when simply F3 would have done... so I tried F4 and ctrl+F4...
I like the tabs, had been looking for sth like it. Just tell me the keyboard shortcut please...

(btw: Win xp sp1, xplorer² lite 1.1.0.2)

found the shortcut: ctrl + alt + arrows.
I'm using this prog (or the predecessor) for years now, it's great. Once I took the time to read all the infotips, and then got to using the keyboard shortcuts. Really saves time. I don't understand why my friends don't switch over and still use the silly winExplorer! That would be worth a poll, wouldn't it?

if you switch to the latest version 1.2 you'll find that you won't be able to close the last tab with ctrl+F4 anymore
