Minor bug: 'Critical Stop' error when using zip-folders

Post by Valery_Kondakoff »

Finally I have found a real (though minor) bug in Xplorer2! :)

Description: when entering the zip-folder tere is a 'Critical stop' error system sound if Tree view is visible and 'Keep synchronized with folder in active pane' is checked.

This happens because Xplorer2 tryes to synchronize the Tree View with active pane folders and this is impossible, because there is 'zip-folder' in active pane.

Confirmed? (Xplorer2 1.1.03UC, WinXP Pro SP2)

i can't reproduce that
in case of zipfolders the tree will just "beep" in error
why don't you try this debug version and see how it goes?

So I'm talking about this beep (this 'beep' is actually a 'Critical Stop' system sound). I'm pretty sure you should disable this 'beep' just because it notify the user about some errors and it is very annoying when you hear it every time you enter the zip-folder.

Thank you.

No, this is a minor bug: just a sound which notes a user that something is going wrong when there is nothing wrong at all...
