Change default viewer

My wish is to completely replace the viewer [F3] and aviod using the [ctrl-F3] shortcut. Problem is if I replace the editor2.exe with another program it just starts fine but with a /c flag. When I am using notepad2 as a viewer this means to open the file and paste the contents of the clipboard into the document

The hint "To use it when editor2 is present, press <CRTL-F3>" hinted that the removal of the editor2.exe might have helped but alas it did not.

Any way to get around this problem?
