Trial version problems

Post by kishorfarm »

Hi Niko,

Just downloaded both xplorer2 lite and xplorer2 pro.  The first one I had no problem executing and customizing. The second one, with 21 days trial, I was unable to execute after installation. "Licencing subsystem fatal error 1:00000000:000". I've been reading the forum and FAQ but I enter in my system as Administrador. My system is a Windows 2000 5.0.2195 SP4 compilación 2195. What's wrong about it?.  In Windows 98 I have no problem installing and executing xplorer2 pro. :(

Anyway, congratulations for your great piece of software. Much better than 2xExplorer, wich i've been using for a few years. A nice surprise and source of happiness the Tabs function (and actually the reason why I decided updating from 2xExplorer, which was really enough for my needs).  :D

Just one thing. I really miss the DriveBar, your solution to this issue is not good.  Creating a new Toolbar (Customize section) does not allow to put it as a vertical bar docked on the left side of the application (do I explaing myself?). Even if this was possible, visually is not as good as in 2xExplorer. The small buttons with bottom letters and a Root button was really cool and useful in 2xExplorer. If I'm not wrong we are all concerned about productivity, doesn't we?.

Greetings from Málaga, Costa del Sol. (Spain). If one day you come over here really send a mail, we could take a coffee!!!.

Álvaro Durán.

that error code indicates that your WINDIR environmental variable isn't setup properly. Open a console and type echo %WINDIR%. That will either be empty or point to some wrong folder. If you correct this variable you should be able to try the pro version

drivebar will come with some future version

This is what I get:

Microsoft Windows 2000 [Versión 5.00.2195]
(C) Copyright 1985-2000 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Archivos de programa>echo %WINDIR%
%SystemRoot%

C:\Archivos de programa>echo %SystemRoot%
C:\WINNT

But the problem remains...

that's the problem, %windir% should point straight to c:\winnt, not to another indirection!. If you set it to the path you'll be able to try x2
