Crash or other error?

Post by dragon_788 »

I'm using the trial version and I've fallen in love with the search feature so I'll be buying x^2 soon, but this issue is making me wait. I open xplorer^2 and have it set to my a subfolder of my J: drive in the left inactive pane, the O: drive up in the right pane and the tree view with My Computer expanded to show all my drives, and I'll leave it in the background so I can do some file management operations for my (locally hosted) website and organizing my music and movies and such, but for some reason after a while x^2 will disappear. Occasionally when this happens I can click the icon and it will act like it was just hiding somewhere (no trial popup) and sometimes it acts like it crashed and prompts me for the key again. I'm not sure if this is because I upgraded from the old trial to the new 1.2 trial or what, but I guess my next alternative will be to try an uninstall and reinstall, but I'd like to rule out any other issues first. Thanks for the great software.

this is all a mess...
i know what you are talking about
you must have tried x2 in the past
v1.2 reopens the trial for all such prior testers
however there's an anti-crack feature that i forgot about that doesn't know about this new trial and closes the program believing it is being cracked. You'll find that the program closes always after a fixed period has expired, whether you're using it or not

I have already fixed that and will be releasing the patch soon (just waiting for a translation to come in)

trust me, if you buy a licence the problem will go away... or your money back! :)

 Well its good to know that you know about the problem. I had actually wondered something along those lines as I've had a lot of software complain at me recently, for some reason the usually friendly MySQL-Front also decided that it was time to kick the bucket so now I've got to clean up that mess also. Thanks for the info, I'm not sure which will come first the patch or me buying it, but I'm pretty sure that's where part of my next paycheck is going.
