Rename on single left-click
Is it possible to add this feature, like in Windows Explorer?

In my check of win Explorer, it behaves essentially the same as xplorer2 does when the relevant xplorer2 option is selected:
Tools | Options... | Window | Allow slow double-click to rename items
First click selects the item, second click permits renaming.
... and if the item is already selected via prior action, then the first mouse click permits renaming the item.
[checked on XP-pro sp2]
The difference is that x2 highlights only the name (not the extension) as a productivity enhancement.
Am I missing something?
PS: It sounds like you may want to make it easier to do renaming -- and perhaps a lot of items. If that is the case, notice that your fingers will be on the keyboard to type the name anyway, so why waste motion to grab & click the mouse? -- just stay on the keyboard: use F2 to initiate rename. When done, hit Enter (instead of grabbing the mouse to click elsewhere); then scroll to the next item with arrowkeys and F2 again-- it's easier (less motion), and you don't need to touch the mouse at all.
