Equal-width panes, how to?

Post by Carson »

I've been using 2X Explorer, and the option is in View. I simply set the two main panes to be equal. I'm new to Lite, and so far I haven't found this.

Thanks.

CTRL+E.

More details like these are provided in the User Manual (to read it, press F1 in x2. If you don't have it, it will download automatically from the website. Make sure you are connected to Internet first.)

Thanks for both. I have my equal panes, and I have my manual now.

A very nice manual, too. I searched "default" but nothing came up to answer my other question. I'm assuming it would be too complex to have Lite actually take over default.

I'm going to take a look at Aston, too, which apparently can do that. But I've always enjoyed my 2X Explorer, so I'll keep it regardless. If I move over to Aston, I might be able to combine Lite with it. (New territory.)  :)

What do you mean by default?

You must mean a default setting that x2 loads each time you start it.

Well, with x2, set your desired settings, and it treats this as "default": the next tiome you start it, it will load these settings.

The User Manual covers this topic on p.28 ("Adjusting the x2 layout for working comfortably")
