what kind of filter are we talking about?
i can't reproduce this: if filters are identical you shouldn't get the warning

@ gets its date reset -
That makes sense for seconds, minutes and hours.
But for days, weeks, months, years - I would expect that the time span should be counted from the previous local midnight (00:00 of the current day -- effectively rounding up to the next day from current local time.)
That way usually the same filter could be applied to both panes.

So, two questions:nikos wrote:ah, it's that filter again!
anyway, technically that filter gets its "from" date reset whenever it is used so it is not possible for 2 views to "have the same filter".
1) Is there a work-around for this so I don't have to answer the warning dialog every time I press F9?
2) Why didn't it do this with v1.2?

this is a technicality but x2 does the right thing
when you ask it to filter for the "last 4 days" it measures "now-4 days". If you repeat it say 1 second afterwards, then some file that just made it in the original filtering may be left out, so the warning is correct
v1.2 if you remember had a bug and didn't calculate this type of filter properly (it didn't update it at all!). The fix caused this side effect
i can understand the minor inconvenience but the "Yes" is the default response so a quick press of <enter> should do away with the warning
