Move (cut/paste) files stops on "file is in use" e

Post by appyface »

Good Morning,

I am looking for something very much like xplorer2, that won't stop moving or deleting files on a "file is in use" error.

Windows cut/paste command, and delete command, will halt the entire operation if a file is in use.  I am looking for a replacement to Windows Explorer that will continue on with the next file, if there is such an error.

There are many programs that will continue on, such as XXCOPY and SecondCopy (both of which I have), but they are not Windows Explorer type of interface like xplorer2.

I downloaded xplorer2 lite and found it stops just like Windows Explorer does.  I did not download the trial for xplorer2 pro, does it also stop processing on these errors?

Are there any plans to change the behavior and have xplorer2 continue on with the next files?  I very much like xplorer2 lite in other respects, and am willing to purchase xplorer2 pro in order to get this functionality, if it ever becomes available.

Thank you for your time and consideration of this request.  Best Regards,

the pro version has exactly this functionality when you go with "robust" copy (F5 command) instead of drag-drop; have a look at  the tour
