When name of a new file/folder is only one word long, the 2XExplorer does not allow it to be in ALL CAPS format.

For example, the following file/folder names are automatically converted to "Only first letter is capital" form:

HTML, XML, SQL, etc..

However, if the name contains more than one words, then the all caps form is allowed.

Suggestion: The "folder options" dialog-box provided in Windows Explorer should be provided here, too!

As always it's not 2xExplorer fault but Windows fault ;)

Open the same dialog you are talking about (Folder options) and look into "advanced options", there is a checkbox for "Allow names in uppercase" and make sure is checked.

Hope this helps

that's spot on
it's all down to the default shell name "beautiful-izer"

note that it only kicks in when a file name is all caps; if you have mixed case (even a single lowercase would do) then it will let you have your way

but if you want to see things as they really are you'll have to follow rir3760's suggestion
