Shutdown Error

Post by Trembru »

Usually (not always), after unzipping a file via the context menu using Zipgenius, I get a memory reference error when exiting Xplorer2, followed by a runtime error 216 followed by another memory reference error etc. The only way to get out of the loop is to use task manager. I have tried using another zip program with the same results. Can anyone suggest a remedy for this, it is driving me nuts.
Thanks in advance.

Ok I've just downloaded Winrar and it gives me the same result. I can continue to use Xplorer2 after unzipping a file but when I exit I still get the errors.

then it must be something else in your context menu; what other non-standard items are there?

OK I think its sorted. I had 'RJH Extensions' installed with the 'Path to clipboard' option enabled. Since removing this, the problem appears to have gone away. I reinstalled it and the problem came back, so its gone for good now. I have reinstalled Zipgenius without any problems. I shall miss the 'Path to clipboard context menu option but I would miss Xplorer2 a lot more. If I have no more problems I will be upgrading to the pro version as this is by far the most suitable file manager I have tried (and I've tried them all).
Many thanks.
