I can't seem to be able to get xplorer2 lite v1.0.0.1 (Win2k SP4) to display the Infotips for AVI,MPG,WMV.
Hmmm my MP3 files don't work either but my MOD's like XM work great and both are associated with foobar2000.
Is the Infotips feature buggy?

infotips on but still not working w/certain files
I have ticked the Infotips option but with certain files popups still won't appear. I am getting them for certain files (eg zip, txt, rar, doc, jpg) consistantly. But with my mp3, mpg, exe, pdf types (as some I randomly checked) particularly it is rare to get a popup-- tho on occasion I do; I didn't think it was working with any of these types at first, but as I kept scrolling, every now and then I'd get one!?!
I ran my version of 2xExplorer to verify that it is working with all files there. I also unticked and re-ticked the option, along with closing the program and restarting, and rebooting XP. I also tried View options like Details vs List and Options> Grid lines in detailed view ticked and unticked.
It appears consistant as to specific files, as I can scroll or tree folders and when I return the same specific file's popups either apear/don't. I also tried moving the cursor about as much as possible.
Any suggestions?
note: I am using MP3Info extension (which again in 2xplorer is working fine as it always has); again, it's not only mp3 files that are not working consistantly.
thanks for taking my problem!
[and thanks for the fine program; the new tabs feature is a great add!]

Indeed, I fell into the same trap! DOH!nikos wrote:if you get infotips only for small files then it looks like you fell into the same trap as the original poster

Key here being the aspect of "limit" (vs "off/on"). Thus a suggestion: could the infotips limit setting parameters be in the same tab ("Window") as the infotips on/off option? Also in reviewing how I spent so much time with this as a "trap" (how DID I miss that? lol), I think the use of the word "extraction" aided it being indeed a miss. After having the distinction clarified here, I can see it now but did not make the association before. [perhaps only noteworthy if this arrangement is in the purchase version?... as for the Lite version, we've already got w-a-y above and beyond what we've "paid" for!!! note: that is a compliment of gratitude
thanks for both this forum & the quick response, and a really awesome program~

mathematically the ROI given zero expenditure is infinite. You can avoid such singularities by putting some digits in the denominator, about 19.95 should do itwe've already got w-a-y above and beyond what we've "paid" for

btw the pro version has more options but the particular one about infotips is handled in the same way as in the lite version
