In synchronization of my My Documents folder and my removable drive it appears as if all files were different. However, they are not all different. I am sure this is due to a problem with the way Xplorer2 is reading the date information in my files but I don't know how to fix it... Please tell me what do I have to do.

if there's a difference of 1 hour exactly then it's a problem with FAT/NTFS daylight saving time. Use Actions | Sync touch to aligh the dates, if you are certain that files are identical (a comparison by content will settle that)

Is the date on either side shifted by one hour? If yes, it is due to Daylight Saving Time trouble. You probably have different file systems (FAT vs NTFS) on the drives??

No easy way to fix this I'm afraid. You could use a tool which supports shifting the time of files on either side (such as FileSync, see http://www.fileware.com/) to compare the folders (this tool also includes a binary compare option which can disregard the timestamps and compare based on real contents of the files.

Thanks for you answers. The difference is exactly of six hours. This may have to do with my recent move from Europe to Latin America. There may still be something in my home computer in which dates are read as if I was still in Belgium. I have already changed date and tinme settings in my computer but the problem is still there. Any ideas of what else shoul I change?

I think this is a windoze issue:
Although your OS may keep track of your time zone for its world clock, and make adjustments for some file/folder dates within its current filesystem when you change time zones, it interprets times & data found on removable media as being in the current local time. Your solution may be to find a utility which can make the necessary corrections en masse.

For true file comparisons, x2 can always compare on content; but it takes much longer than just name & date/time modified. :o
