Slight scroll bar annoyance when creating new folders.

Post by Darren »

For some reason xplorer² has a strange habit when creating a new folder or file.
If you open a folder with too many sub folders or files to display on the screen (I'm working in Detail view), the vertical scroll bar appears. If you then right click on an empty space and select "New Folder", a new folder is created at the bottom of the pane (scroll bar jumps all the way down). If you then hit enter, you have a new folder down at bottom of the pane called New Folder. So far so good.

However if you create a new folder, then give it a new name before hitting enter, the scroll bar jumps up one 'place' causing the new folder to be hidden just below the bottom of the pane. So then to get to your newly created folder, you need to move the scroll bar back down to the bottom.

Not an earth shattering problem I will admit, but it does drive me a little nuts.
If it makes a difference, I have the auto sorting tuned off.

Thanks.

Could someone else please at least confirm that this is a universal annoyance with xplorer², and not something that is unique to me???

Thanks.

i'm telling windows to "scroll till the item is visible at least by a little" but m$ takes it literally it seems and shows only the top few pixels :)

anyway this is eliminated if you check "automatically resort content after copy/move" option
