Nikos, what's going on?

Betas for the (supposingly almost deceased) 2Ex Omega on a daily basis?

I'm far from complaining of course. :-)

I never miss a update since my webmonitor is firmly directed on your DL-page.

And you can tell how attached I'm grown to 2Ex if it already annoys when I have to switch to something different for copying the new betas over the old installation. ;-)

Thanks BRX, for drawing our attention to the latest beta: In fact, I had missed several versions already!

Which brings me to an observation here, Nikos:

In the zipped download file, there are several text files that describe the latest functions, and a comparison with the M$ Explorer.

What we also need is a "Development History" file, describing the incremental changes between consecutive versions, so that the users can understand the difference between the version they already have and the latest version.

This file could have the following "standard building block", repeated for each major/minor version released in the past:

> Version Number:
> Date of release:
    * Functions added/modified
  * Changes in the GUI
  * Bugs fixed (Bugs? WHAT bugs??) ;)
  * Changes made in the help files

who do you think i am, michael schummacher? :)
i am as disorganized a person you're likely to find

but seriously, i thought that that was what the purpose of this newest.txt file was all about: update users with the most recent changes. Then 2xExplorer.rtf has a summary of all the features. Older incremental change notification comes in older announcements within releaseNotes.zip

not even a man-cum-machine like schummacher could have fared any better, surely!

PS. if you want to figure out what has changed from build 1.4.1.2 or what have you till the latest, then use winDiff or similar to compare the old newest.txt with the most recent one; it will hilight all the changes and thus give you all the info you need
