Kasperski regularly scores high for detection rate in many tests I have seen.
However it never comes out on top in the major publication and user ratings.
When I last checked on Kasperski AV a few years ago it was difficult (not especially intuitive) to use and not well documented.
That is also my recollection of the ratings reports on it over the years.
Here is a link to a site that rates the reviewers of various products for best (most thorough. objective, etc.) reviews & ratings.
Can you explain why Kasperski is not mentioned even once in the summary of 24 different reviews if it is indeed the best? (I cannot.)
Still, if you believe Kasperski to be the best, then by all means, use it.
... and keep your virus definitions up-to-date.
