Can the window title bar text be changed?
When I have a lot of windows open, often all I can see of the x2 title bar in the task bar is all or some of the "xplorer2" string. I'd like to see the path first. Ideally, I'd also like to see the whole path string of the current folder, such as "E:\dl\wallpaper", instead of "wallpaper @ E:\".

Saving space on the TaskBar is always a concern for a lot of people - often is for me too. More importantly, TaskBar entries are only given a fixed maximum width. I know what program Xplorer2 is - if I forget, the icon tells me visually - that's why the icon is there.
In other words... is there any chance that we could remove the "xplorer2 - " prefix on Xplorer2's TaskBar? Editor2 is like this - when I have a text file open in Editor2, it doesn't say "Editor2 - MyNotes.txt @ T:\..." - it just says "MyNotes.txt @ T:\..."
Sometimes I have multiple Xplorer2 windows open - sometimes I'm working on three projects and I have all the folders for each project loaded in their own Xplorer2 instance - and it would be nice if my TaskBar didn't take up half its width just to say "xplorer2.” I know xplorer2 is awesome - it doesn't need to keep it in my face! heh...
I would definitely like to see an option to change the "MyFolder @ T:\" text to say "T:\MyFolder" - the current way works but is harder to read and takes up space. My priority would definitely go towards getting ride of the redundant "xplorer2" text - but fixing this would also be very nice and would make my TaskBar look much cleaner!

Good point and good example, (that Editor² does it).
& I would think this simple improvement is easy to do.
I support the suggestion even if it is the default behaviour, no 'option' needed. :)

I'm just starting to discover xplorer² - it has a lot of features that address some annoyances I have with Windows Explorer. It took me a while to notice that the taskbar text is different than in WE
; "bummer" sums it up for me, too! :(
I use my taskbar very intensively : I always launch one row with 5 browser windows, a second row with 5 Explorer windows, then a third row with the other programs I use. I like to go from the taskbar to different folders I have open - and to see at a glance which folders are open. Despite its many other shortcomings, the way WE does this particular thing is ideal : it just shows the name of the open folder (which is better than the full path IMO, especially if you have a lot of nested folders).
Is there any way I could get xplorer² to mimic the taskbar behaviour of WE ? (even a registry tweak is good enough for me) I understand your branding concern
, but I think the GUI of xplorer² looks different enough to get onlookers to ask questions anyway. It may sound silly to some, but the way I use my taskbar, this will probably determine wether I'm going to use xplorer² as my default file manager or not. Replies either way are much appreciated !! Regards, AV
