Use Standard Shell Menu?

Post by cdrom600 »

Hi,

Recently, I'd like to play with Subversion and TortoiseSVN.  However, this requires that I use the standard shell menu (with all shell extensions) when I right-click on blank space, not just on a file.

Is there a way to make xplorer^2 use the standard shell menu, not its custom simple one, for right-clicks on blank space?

this is a feature supported only for the professional version. There's a free 21 day trial for you to check out all the extra goodies

All right, I see how to use the shell menu now, and I have one other question.  TortoiseSVN indicates whether or not a folder is up-to-date by overlaying a check mark icon on the standard folder icon.  This doesn't seem to work, even in xplorer^2 professional.  Am I missing something?  I've tried Ctrl+R, but that didn't help.

there's an advanced option you should check for that (Tools | Options). If you use CVS columns you may also want to check GIOPT_NOCOLCACHE in registry.txt

i have started using tortoiseSVN myself so you can expect improvements for the next version, e.g. faster icon overlays
