if you extract the files, you can do it, in fact you only need the executable xplorer2.exe

Isn't  that a wonderful news for xplorer users?  :D  May be it is not bad idea to put some explanations on the site?

P.S. If I did not earn one licence for xplorer pro let airplane crash on my head!

Hello,
xplorer2.exe is currently storing settings in the registry.
For a portable version, it seems more convenient to store settings in a local ini file placed in  xplorer2 program folder.
Is there a way to store settings in .ini file i/o to regsitry ?

Thanks.

no but if you search this forum you'll find workarounds based on Actions | Export settings command

Ok thanks, I know that already.

But the purpose is to use xplorer2 from a USB key on any PC, without writing anything to the registry where no xplorer2 information is already written.

Writing data to the registry before launching explorer2, then deleting these data is a heavier operation, than just using local ini file !

Version 1.1.03 works fine from a USB

Version 1.6.0.1 gives me an error message:
"Licening subsystem fatal error 2:00080000:000"
