File date attributes don't change earlier than 1980

When trying to change a .jpg file's creation date earlier than 1980 the program gives a warning that it can't change it for NON_NTFS Drives.  What's up with that?

This limitation is a "feature" of the File Allocation Table (FAT) system designed and (partially) patented by Microsoft.  :(

xplorer² just interfaces with the FAT and cannot change FAT design constraints.

A workaround when storing on non-NTFS media is to zip the relevant files before transfer (after changing the dates while file is on NTFS) .
