Can't delete in tree, non-responding window..

Post by Eliteforce »

Hey guys.

sometimes when i try to delete a folder from the tree the window starts hanging (non-responding) for a short while, and then i get an error that the folder cannot be deleted since it seems to be in use - yes, by xplorer² i guess ^^ since i can delete it without any problems in the panel to the right.
besides that, can't the deletion, copy, move .. dialog be started in a separate thread?

cheers

This has been discussed many times.
The tree was designed for navigating, not operating.
One consequence is that one cannot (usually) delete a folder using the tree if that folder (or a subfolder of it) is open in the active pane.
A workaround is provided by electing the option
"Don't lock browsed folder"
in Tools | Options... on the Advanced tab.
