AVG detects xplorer2 as containing a trojan

The funny thing is that, I had this version of Xplorer2 installed yesterday and AVG didn't detect anything.  Then after AVG updated this morning, it suddenly saw Xplorer2 as containing "Trojan Horse Generic5.GRL".

I tried get AVG to ignore it, but because of the nature what was detected, it will not allow any access to the executable.

It's clearly a false alarm, please report it to AVG.

For reference: Generic False positive reporting instructions from AVG bbs is as follows

If you suspect a file to be a false positive. Test the file at [virusscan.jotti.org] and if it is a false positive, archive (zip, arc, tar etc) the file using a password and email a copy to virus@grisoft.com with a brief description as well as the password you used to archive it with.

If it is a false positive , turn off hueristic scanning for the time being. When Grisoft adjusts the virus defintions you can turn it back on. If you are unable to still test/email the file after disabling the hueristics, you will need to temporarily disable the Resident Shield.

I saw this today, on the homepage of a well-known and respected product named JV16 Power Tools:

16.07.2007 - False virus warnings

It has come to our attention that an antivirus product called AVG AntiVirus reports that jv16 PowerTools 2007 contains a virus called "Obfustat.Aph".

This report is obviously incorrect since none of our products contain viruses, any kind of backdoors, spyware or anything of that sort.

We are most confident that the developer of the AVG AntiVirus product will fix the problem shortly
