Preview Pane on Right?

Just found out about x2. Excellent program - just have two questions before I go pro:
1) can the preview or quickview pane be placed on the right? Not just to the right of the tree, but to the right of all other panes?
2) I see that zips can be browsed - is there any registry trickery that will also let rar files be browsed?

I did a search of the forums - couldn't find an answer on #1, and looks like I'm out of luck on #2, but figure it never hurts to check again, what with the new version and all.
