that's the "path" of "my computer"

the lite version does not support more than 1 bookmark icon, you need the pro

Limitation of 20 bookmark icons

Post by IainB »

In xplorer² PRO,  I tried to make a special icon for for the bookmark for a Windows Live SkyDrive public folder (which I had mapped as a folder using Windows Explorer).

I got a message saying that only the 1st 20 bookmarks could have an icon.

I also noticed that the bookmark itself has no icon at all (i.e., not even the default folder icon). I assume that is because it is a mapped drive and not an ordinary folder.

Would it be possible to remove the 20 max limitation for special icons?
How could the default icon be made to appear for the mapped drive folder?

I have a screenshot of the bookmarks (which might help) but don't see how to insert it into this convo.
Thanks in advance.

you can have more than 20 icons, goto Tools > Advanced Options > global page and increase 'custom menu items'

alternatively push this bookmark further up the list (Bookmarks > Organize) so it is within the first 20

@nikos: Many thanks. I opted for the "custom menu items" approach.

The mapped SkyDrive behaves strangely in xplorer² and Windows Explorer. It doesn't behave like a folder or drive really - I guess it's a virtual folder. Once it is in a window/pane, then the only way you can get rid of it is to close the window/pane. You can't simply go to another path.

Thanks Nikos. Both methods work fine.
