PDF previews
I am using xplorer2lite on a Windows XP SP2 machine and when ever i resize the preview window on pdf's larger my preview image disappears. Instead of a preview i get the characters below.
I tried another Winodows XP SP2 machine and had no problems there. Anyone else run into this? I have Adobe Reader 8.1 loaded on both machines.
Thanks

Thank you for the prompt reply, i am under a little bit of a time crunch because I am trying to show case this program for training next week. If i can present this program in working order, the company will agree to purchase a license.
And yes i have the byte file size limit on the thumbnails set to 0 which, if i am not mistaken, should make that setting unlimited, correct?
Just to let you know, the working machine is the same model of computer as the nonworking machine.

If you are interested in evaluating the product for a license, you should be testing with the Pro version. It comes with a free trial period for just this situation, and has additional preview capabilities.
Please note that for the Lite version, although the license is free, it may NOT be used in a commercial setting.

That's the other thing, the trial pro version crashes every time i start up the program. That is why i figured i would use the lite version. Here are the errors we get from the pro version:
1st error:
Licensing subsystem fatal error -1:0000000b:110
*Do you have privileges to install programs? (Yes)
*Did you paste the license key correctly? (No i never had the chance yet)
If the problem persists please report this error code to the author
2cd error:
It tells me the eval period has expired (huh? i just downloaded and installed today, this doesn't make any sense)
3rd error:
Due to problems during the installation, this program will terminate. Do you want to submit an error report to the authors? (clicking yes takes you to the support web page, which i started by talking in the forum)
So there is the dilemma any help would be appreciated.

that error message indicates that xplorer2 has been installed before on that computer, and it looks like somebody did a registry cleanup after that, so that particular computer has had it -- unless you want to buy a licence upfront
you can't showcase properly xplorer2 running its lite version. I'd recommend trying to find another laptop where the pro version hasn't been installed before. For a list of differences, including some demo videos see the table in this page:
www.zabkat.com/x2lite.htm
coming to the strange preview error, does it go away when you press ctrl+R to refresh? The adobe module that offers previews is not the most robust in the world. Was the preview originally graphic or pure text?

FWIW, I can reproduce this QV display anomaly for PDF's in both x²-Lite and x²-Pro!
For Pro, the effect shows in the Draft preview tab, but not the Normal tab -- and then only for some PDF files, but not others.
It does not seem to be file size limited, but it does occur most reliably with x2 main window quite wide say 90-100% of screen width and QV widened to over 80% of main window width. I have not found a pattern for which PDF's give the effect.
