cant launch xplorer² Lite

I just installed xplorer² Lite and the program wont even start. Whats wrong??

if it ain't one thing, it's another!

does it appear in the task manager process list? try to remove the registry information, it could be the starting folders that are unavailable

No, it doesnt appear in the process list. I deleted its registry entries and it still doesnt launch.

I also try xplorer pro and its the same problem.

And btw, Im on Vista if it matters.

We have many satisfied users running on Vista, so I suspect there is something specific with your system settings causing this.
Please provide a bit more detail, and I expect other users will step in with suggestions/ideas, ...

I have yet to take the Vista plunge myself, so I am unable to help;
and I expect nikos will not be on line very much for the next several days, as he is in-process of moving his household and his enterprise from UK back to Greece.

I have disabled several Vista services. Does xplorer2 depend on any particular service?

not directly. Does your windows explorer run? Have you tried any other file managers e.g. the old 2xExplorer?

Yes my explorer works.

As for other file managers, I have tried FreeCommander (it launched but seemed buggy) and Total Commander (it launched and had no problems).

Edit: I just tried 2xExplorer and it launched fine.
