Thanks Nikos.
Very nice to have: the default folder association (aka "replace Windows Explorer") option on install.     :D

Nifty timesaver: /N will be nice for when I connect to a LAN.

Please no.
I'm using Xplorer2 - the only file manager that does not suck. Actually, it rocks!

pdf thumbnails

Post by paracanary »

pdf thumbnails are not displaying in the ver 1.72 x64. OS is Vista X64.  Is this the case for everyone else?

PDF thumbnails work in Vista 32bit. Check your registry entry HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pdf.

In VIsta 64, it's a known bug that pdf thumbnails are not rendered in Microsoft's file explorer.  I guess this bug is carried over into the 64 bit version of xplorer2 professional.  If I run the xplorer x32, pdf thumbnails are rendered.  If I do not close this and run xplorer x64 then pdf thumbnails are rendered if both xplorers are referencing the same directory.

A big thank you for a 64bit version and for implementing the icon view in thumbnails mode instead of that disgusting red X. :D

cheers guys, and keep in mind that there could be the odd bug left in x64 version so if you notice something abnormal let me know

for pdf thumbnails, it looks like it's a problem with adobe, or they could have a solution for this already. If it doesn't work in windows explorer it wont' work in x2 either

I am seeing some filename truncation with bold color-coded files in the final version. I wonder if the adjustments made for faster color-coding could be causing this.

Is there a way to disable this "improved color coding performance"?
