cant run any exe or rar files in xplorer

Hi

I'm using XP Service Pack 3.
Avira AntiVir Personal
Comodo Firewall Pro

I've started getting this message when try to run any exe or rar files.

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

If i run the same files from MyComputer they will work.

Can anybody help?

so other types of files eg TXT they are ok?

Its only the last few days that i've formatted my hard drive and re-installed xp so not many files on my PC.

So far the only files that will run from xplorer are jpegs.

Everything else including txt and cbr files get that same message.

get the latest xplorer2 from the website and try again. I can't think of anything else...
