Compressed files as folder

Post by rtcary »

I have used another Explorer replacement file for years, but it did not keep up with the times.  So, I have been using xplorer2 lite and it is superb, however there is one feature I miss from my old program: zip files could be shown as folders with the contents in the file/detail panel.  That was an option.  Of course for this to work, an application like WinZip would have to be present (the old application had it's own file compression as an option).

Just an idea...one that would convince me to get the upgrade version.

x2 uses the zip folder capability that comes with all recent windows OSes.
For win 2K, see FAQ B4.

Do I need some setting?  I do not see my zip files on the left panel tree as folders.

Many thanks!!

The feature works only in the folder pane(s), not in the tree.
