Feature Request - new drive dialog

Post by JDucharme »

Whenever I connect a usb drive or card reader to my comp, a dialog box pops up with a variety of options of what i could do.
"Open with...."
"Download with..."

I'd like to see an option to open the new drive with xplorer2.
But if I have an existing session running it'll just open a new tab in that session.

Thanks

Jd...

i don't know where these items are stored but i bet it is customizable already. If you google for it you may find how to add items to this autorun dialog, then tell us all too!

If you are running XP, this is dead easy: install TweakUI.  Go to My Computer -> AutoPlay -> Handlers; from there you can modify, create or delete the AutoPlay entries.

There's no TweakUI for Vista or 7; if you're running one of those you'll need to hack the Registry to change the AutoPlay handlers.

Thanks for the tweakUI info.. It's asking for an argument to pass on to the application. are there any switches i need to include to tell xplorer2 to open the folder or drive in a new tab?
