Tree selection bug

Post by yam001 »

Open xplorer2. back/forward buttons should be disabled.
Now select anything from tree....Now instead of back button, forward button is enabled!
And clicking the forward button starts expanding each node in selected.

btw I'm using latest lite version on xpsp2 and have disabled tree sync with active pane. It seems same behaviour is also present in trial.

That's a  known issue re sloppy GUI management of shared key-combo [Alt+Right] in different contexts (Back/Fwd buttons apply to navigating folder pane history, but should have no meaning for Tree)
But [Alt+Right] when focus is in tree is intended to expand the highlighted node by design.  :o

i mean back button should be enabled if the list is changed but it doesn't :?
it's  not enabled until i open a folder from the list no matter how many different locations i visit via tree. also i observed the back button is enabled temporarily if program loses focus.

Back/Forward ONLY applies to the folder panes.  A navigation history is kept for the left folder pane and another for the right folder pane. No history is kept for the tree.

The fact that the Forward button shows as being active for the tree is an unintended artifact, as I said in my earlier post.

re: ... back button is enabled temporarily if program loses focus -
More likely, when focus moves to a folder pane with prior history, the Back button properly becomes active, until you refocus on the tree.
