Default Opening Pane

Post by GfW »

I am trying this app and so far it looks good. I have 2 panes set up. My problem is that both panes always open to the C:\ drive. I want one pane to open with a specific network path and the other pane with a different network path.

What do I have to do in order to make it remember the pane paths when I close the program? I have tried save settings but it has not saved the pane locations.

How do I accomplish this?

Thanks

xplorer2 always starts as you left it as long as you have save settings on exit enabled (tools > options > general). Unless that is you override the starting paths from the command line? check the properties of the shortcut icon you use to start xplorer2

I had the save settings on exit checked so I closed and then reopend it. It opened back at C: even though when I had closed it there were different drives in the panes.

I checked the shortcut and after the target line was /N /M

I removed the /N /M and opened it and it brought me back to where I left it.

Now the question ... what did I remove?

Thanks

The /N switch forces x2 substitute your x2 "root" for network drives on startup.
This is to speed startup for when network items are not available.

The /M switch prohibits x2 staring in "minimized" state.

(see the  User Manual  and the Quick start guide  for more information.)
