Always get the Open With screen on Windows 7

I have recently started using Editor2 in W7 and have created several test files with it. Trouble is, when I want to click on any of them to open them, W7 shows me the 'Open With' screen and I have to select Editor2 manually to get the file to open. Furthermore the 'Open With' window will not allow me to tick the 'Always use the selected program' option as it greyed out. Anyone know how to get Editor2 files to open automatically with Editor2?!!

It's easy enough to do using the registry (will provide details if necessary), but that really shouldn't be needed.  Never heard of "Always use" being greyed out... sounds like an administrator permissions thing to me (if so, that would also apply to the direct registry approach).

Try associating it via Admin first, not a normal user.

are all these files perhaps without extension? Best use editor2 from within xplorer2, select the file and hit F4
